Perhaps the greatest American writer, Melville was a master of prose, poetry, and prosepoetry. His early work was well-received, but Moby Dick, his masterpiece was largely unappreciated. Melville died in obscurity in 1891. His work was rediscovered some 30 years after his death and is admired and appreciated today.

I am looking for original copies of Melville's novels especially the 1851 edition of Moby Dick published by Harper and Brothers Publishers.

Also wanted: Melville associated period photos, correspondence, or any other items related to the novelist or his works.

Finally, I would like to obtain examples of Rockwell Kent's drawings from the 1930 Lakeside Press edition of Moby Dick as well as the aluminum slip-cover edition of the novel.
